WRHA Occupational Health and Disability Case Management
I have been working in Occupational Health in the health-care sector for 20 years and no day is the same and it's never boring. In our role, we work to keep all employees safe by providing vaccines and workplace accident reporting, including the flu shots and preventing accidents by working with management. I have always found that meeting and assisting staff is the most rewarding. Occupational Health has a high standard of PHIA as the Employee/Employer trust in us allows us to work with both to provide responsible care for all.
There are many variations of the duties for an Occupational Health Nurse which would be different depending on the sector of work. I would encourage anyone who would like to have a challenging and interesting career to look into any Occupational Health Program and a variety of sectors.
