Hematopathologist

Shared Health is seeking applications for a permanent full-time Hematopathologist.

The successful candidate will join a hematopathology practice group that provides comprehensive diagnostic services on hematology, transfusion medicine and immunology to the Province of Manitoba.

Primary duties will include comprehensive hematopathology in support of various local tertiary care programs, and a provincial referral program. All job duties are required in English. Expertise in transfusion medicine or lymphoma is an asset (preferred).

Candidates will take part in the teaching of postgraduate and undergraduate students, and to hold an appointment in the University Of Manitoba Department Of Pathology (less than 10% of the position requirement).

Candidates must have medical degree, certification in Hematological Pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent, and be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications (salary scale starts at $378,791/year). Benefits include dental, health, and an annual vacation of 27 days. Shared Health will make contributions to pathologist personal Registered Retirement Savings Plan account with MD Management as set out in the Doctors Manitoba contract with Shared Health.
