Academic Plastic Surgeon

The University of Manitoba, Department of Surgery, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Shared Health Manitoba are seeking applications for an Academic Plastic Surgeon.

The successful candidate would be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, or higher, and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba.  The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Applicants will preferably have fellowship training in microvascular, be competent at major reconstruction and be comfortable with routine hand surgery.  Care will be primarily based out of our two main teaching hospitals, Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface Hospital.  The Section supports a successful residency training program.  Clinical research is an expectation.  

This position includes a minimum of 1 GA day per week and 1 local O. R. day per week.  Remuneration is a generous Minimum Income Amount(586,500) for a minimum of 3 years. Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive.  Please contact physicianrecruitment@sharedhealthmb.ca for further information.
