The University of Manitoba, Department of Surgery, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Shared Health Manitoba are seeking applications for an Academic Pediatric General Surgeon to join a broad practice of Pediatric Surgery commencing August 1, 2020 or later.

The successful candidate will be eligible for appointment at the rank of assistant professor, or higher, and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Compensation is derived from fee-for-service income.

Care will be primarily based out of the Children’s Hospital at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre. Teaching medical students and residents within the operating room and in didactive settings is a significant component of the position. Clinical and/or basic science research is expected based on the interest of the applicant.
