History of VON now available in print
A written history of the Victoria Order of Nursing (VON) in Winnipeg is now available. Launched on December 12th, 2013 at Rae and Jerry's Restaurant, The Hands and Hearts of the VON includes descriptions of the medical service programs started by the VON, and heartfelt stories from this almost century-long home nursing service. The driving force behind this project was the former and long-time VON director Margaret Mackling, so it's meaningful that the book was launched on the anniversary of her passing.
