National Nurses Week
Once again, I would like to recognize the important work that nurses do every day in our health region, regardless of where they work or the particular role that they have. I would also like to thank the nurses who took the time during Nurses Week to share their stories with me. I heard stories about individual experiences with people and their families, I heard about some of the challenges nurses are facing in their workplaces, but most of all I heard, the incredible pride that nurses have in the work they are doing to improve the health and quality of life of the people they provide care to. Nurses are involved in so many innovative activities with the aim to continuously improve our care. Keep up the good work.
