What is employee engagement?

Employee engagement is a measure of the employee's state of emotional and intellectual commitment to an organizational group. Employee engagement is one way of referring to your relationship to your work, your managers, your coworkers and the people you serve or care for.

In plain language, it is concerned with what makes you come to work and why you stay working where you are working. It's also about how passionate and invested you are about what you're doing, who you're doing it with and why you're doing it.
