Peer Connections Manitoba (PCM), previously recognized as the Manitoba Schizophrenia Society, is a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a sense of community and empowering participants to share their journeys, exchange insights, while offering emotional support. They have a team of trained peer supporters that play a crucial role in alleviating isolation, enhancing mental health, and fostering personal growth and resilience among participants. These trained peer supporters draw on both lived experience and professional training. PCM offers:
- Virtual or in-person peer support to individuals and their caregivers.
- Drop-in peer support (In-person every Monday from 1pm to 4pm, first- come, first-served basis.
- 1 on 1 peer support sessions
- Individual Peer support groups
- Family Peer support
- Other various programs, workshops, and support groups, to cultivate a sense of belonging and share knowledge among participants.
REFERRAL CRITERIA
Peer Connections Manitoba is open to individuals 18 years or older facing mental health and/ or substance use challenges and their families. Services are provided at no cost to participants.
REFERRAL PROCESS
No referral needed. No diagnosis of specific illnesses required.

One can also join every Monday for their DIPS (Drop-In Peer Support) service, available on a first-come, first-served basis in the afternoon from 1pm to 4pm.
