Event Details

Date: Friday, March 15, 2024

Location: Viscount Gort Hotel, 1670 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3J 0C9

Time: Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. Sessions run until 3:30 p.m.

Registration fee: $75 (includes lunch, breaks and admission to cocktail reception)

  • Nurses from outside of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority are also eligible to register for New Grad Day. Costs to register are reimbursed by your SDO and your supervisor has been encouraged to make every effort to support your attendance.

Cocktail reception: At the end of the day, we invite you to stay and enjoy the opportunity to mingle and network. Hors d’oeuvres will be served. Cash Bar.

Speakers

Dr. Judy Boychuk Duchscher

As an Associate Professor of Nursing at Thompson Rivers University and an international expert in the area of new nurse transition, Dr. Duchscher maintains that “it is the vision, creativity and passionate commitment of these young professionals, supported by the expert knowledge and practice experience of their senior mentors that will drive nursing and healthcare forward”.

Mary Anne Lynch

Mary Anne Lynch, WRHA Regional Lead and CNO, is a proactive results oriented registered nurse. Her experience and knowledge includes acute care operations, the delivery of health care services within a regional system of care, and supporting and leading work with nurse managers and directors on nursing initiatives such as documentation practices, scope of practice, mentorship and more.

Julia Senchuk

Julia Senchuk is a psychotherapist from western Manitoba. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1996, and went on to obtain her Master of Counselling Psychology in 1998. For the past few years, Julia has successfully established her own private practice, and teaches as a Sessional Instructor within the Psychology Department at Brandon University.

  3. Follow the on-screen registration instructions.
  4. Pay your registration fee.
