Locum Service Information

The WRHA recognizes that Family Physician practices are extremely busy and there is a need for practical supports to assist you in providing continuous service to your patients. To support this need, the Regional Primary Care Program operates a Community Family Physician Locum Program.

The WRHA places locum physicians in participating Family Doctors’ offices throughout the city to ensure that their patients have access to quality primary care and the providers are able to take leave for Continuing Education and vacation. The Program coordinates the schedule for the locum and provides administrative support as required for clinical services, administrative duties and billing obligations.
