Project Overview

The WRHA, in collaboration with the Victoria Hospital Foundation, is proud to introduce the Procura Mobile App Project, an innovative initiative designed to enhance client care and operational efficiency within our Home Care program. This transformative project is fueled by the generous support of the Victoria Hospital Foundation, contributing $500,000 over two years to aid in the start-up costs, with an estimated total project cost of $2.1 million for the Winnipeg health region.

The Procura AlayaCare Mobile App is a proven and successful software platform widely utilized in Home Care delivery systems throughout North America. Rooted in insights gathered from staff engagement sessions, this initiative responds to the needs voiced by Home Care staff, aiming to empower them with the tools needed for the highest quality care delivery.

The WRHA, with the largest home care workforce in the province (comprising over 1600 staff members delivering 12,000 to 14,000 visits per day), will implement the Procura AlayaCare Mobile App in phases over the next 9-12 months. This phased approach allows allows leadership to assess and address any potential issues before moving to the next group.
