2025 Health in French Excellence Award Winner, Nicole Lavoie
With great pleasure, WRHA Francophone Health awarded Nicole Lavoie the 2025 Health in French Excellence Award for her caring approach to health care and the French language community.
Nicole works as an occupational therapist at Grace Hospital. This is her second year in a row being nominated, which speaks volumes about her unwavering commitment and the deep impact she has on her colleagues and the Francophone patients we serve. She is fully aware that people’s ability to access services in their language of choice is a huge contributor to positive health outcomes and how we can provide care in the most compassionate way.
Award nominees were evaluated based on their contributions to promoting the French language in their health care setting, their commitment to supporting colleagues and clients in using French and their overall impact on the workplace. We extend our sincerest thanks to all the other exceptional nominees for their contributions to fostering an inclusive and linguistically accessible health care environment.
