Before entering the patient's environment, put on PPE in the following order:

1. Perform hand hygiene
2. Put on gown
3. Put on mask or N95 respirator (if indicated)
4. Put on eye protection
5. Put on gloves

How to take off Personal Protective Equipment

Take off PPE in the following order:

Before leaving the patient's environment:

1. Take off gloves
2. Perform hand hygiene
3. Take off gown
4. Perform hand hygiene

After leaving the patient's environment:

1. Take off eye protection
2. Take off mask or N95 respirator
3. Perform hand hygiene
