Dr. Krishnan has recently completed her PhD in nursing from University of Manitoba and recognized as the Rising Stars of Research and Scholarship by the College of Nursing. Her dissertation aimed at understanding the experiences of nurses working in long term care facilities, specifically with regard to their engagement in the advance care planning (ACP) process. Her study was the first Canadian study to illustrate the micro and macro perspectives of ACP through the dual lens of symbolic interactionism and the socio-ecological model.
